It’s time for 3 Things Thursday. When I first started this, I thought that coming up with three things to talk about would not be a big deal. I can talk for hours on a variety of subjects. The problem comes in when you have to think about something your mind goes blank!
So here it goes…
1. I enrolled in Elite Blog Academy when it opened in February. We’re a little over a month in and I’m feeling like I’m spinning my wheels! I know it’s not a race and I’m really starting at ground zero. I should expect to be a little slower at this than people who have been blogging for years. I was encouraged and surprised to see how many newbie bloggers had enrolled in the course. Many of them are just like me and just starting out. Some didn’t even have a blog set up yet.
I looked at EBA as a chance to create a good, solid foundation for my blog in the hopes of doing everything right from the beginning. There have been some serious rockstar bloggers that have come out of EBA and it’s led by blogging rockstar Ruth Soukup. I’m glad I invested in myself and took the class. I know that even despite feeling a little inadequate right now, it’ll be very beneficial in the years to come!
2. I have a problem with procrastination. We are 9 days out from Tax Day and I don’t have my taxes done yet! What is wrong with me? My taxes are pretty simple to put together. I typically don’t itemize my deductions. And since I’m a widow with three kids who doesn’t earn a lot of money, I have a pretty good refund coming. I need to get it taken care of. I keep hearing that the refund process is going to be slow. It’ll be like always. I wish I would’ve done it earlier.
3. Speaking of procrastination….I bought all of my garden seeds and some seeding mix. I’ve been collecting egg cartons for a few months. And it’s just sitting here…waiting for me to do something with them. So this weekend, I’m going to set my garden seeds in egg cartons and get them growing before it’s garden time! We’ve planted our garden as late as Mother’s Day, so we still have time. It never seems to matter if you start with little plants or big plants, the end result is always the same. It probably doesn’t help that I have a huge LP tank and the remnants of my old furnace and temporary furnace sitting in the garden. I have to wait for the LP company to move the tank and the HVAC guys to remove the old stuff before I can even think about tilling a garden. It’s going to be a mess around here this year while we clean up from the construction.
And those are my 3 things for this Thursday!
